Escaping Feline and Friendly Fill-Ins

Feline Friday is hosted by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
Feline Friday is simple to join.  Follow the link above to Steve's page to see how to be a part of this fun meme.

There's a room at the shelter called the Juvie Room.  It's where the kittens that are between 4-8 months hang out until they are adopted.  Some of them are more than a handful.

It's hard to tell, but there's writing on the door:

It says, Caution!  There are some sneaky kitties in here!

Again, it's hard to see through the glass, but Snookums is waiting for the door to open so he can bolt:

It's not easy to catch sight of him at this angle.

There he is, pretending not to care:

The door is open a crack, just enough to snap a photo.

He didn't get out that time, but he'd already escaped 8 times that day, and he did the next two times the door opened after that.  He needs to be renamed Houdini!

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by McGuffy Ann Morris of McGuffy's Reader. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

My fill-ins for the statements are underlined:

Week 63: July 21, 2017

1. My favourite thing on my daily to-do list is _________________.

2. My least favourite thing on my daily to-do list is ________________.

3. I could really do without ____________________.

4. I would love to have more _____________________.

1. My favorite thing on my daily to-do list is prayer/Bible study/meditation.  After all, i'd be lost without it!
2. My least favorite thing on my daily to-do list is any kind of cleaning.  Once i get home from cleaning other people's homes/offices, the last thing i want to do is clean my own!
3. I could really do without negativity in my life.  That's why i try to find so many things to be grateful for and give a lot of thanks for the good things.
4. I would love to have more time and money for travel.  My dream is to be able to drive back and forth across the country when and where i like.

  6. What a cute little kitty. :)

That is my favorite part of the day, too. The Bible is full of interesting reading. In many cases, their lives "back then" weren't really so different that our lives today, at least not in the way that people interact in relationships. I find it totally amazing how some of the experiences told about are much like those I've had myself as the oldest child in a family.

Where is the first place you'd head if you could go anywhere you wanted to go in this country?

"Robin Williams, 1951"...It is so sad that one who brought so much laughter to the world wasn't able to be happy himself. I was so sorry to hear of his death. I can understand what could drive a person to end it. I just wish that he hadn't ended it. What a tragedy. :( Nanu-Nanu!

"National Junk Food Day" sounds like a great day to me!

"Tug-Of-War Tournament Day" this sounds like fun and a laugh a minute, too. I always loved playing tug-of-war.

    Have a blessed weekend, Mimi!

  8. Cute kitten, I do think Houdini is a perfect name. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I can see why you would be sick of cleaning by the time you get home from work. I hope you get to travel like you want to someday soon. Have a nice weekend! XO

  9. I like your idea about driving back and forth across the country. We would love to do that. Get a class c RV and visit all the state parks across the country.
We had a neighbor that had a dog named Merlin. That dog could get out of a 6-foot high fence that was inside a four foot fence. The six foot fence had a lid on it. The dog had a huge chain around his neck that was attached to a concrete block. He still got out. They said they should rename him Houdini, too. Have a great week.

  10. Mimi, I can relate, as usual. I especially relate to the negativity issue. Thank you for that. My relationship with God is essential. too. It is a constant. I like the idea of driving around, too. But, I really long to sit and fish. HUGS!
