Ouch!

Yesterday, Grandpa and Grandma came up to visit.

Grandpa, also called Dr. Born Organized Clean by this messy, impertinent child, brought our yearly ouchies, also knows as flu shots.

Thus my left arm will be sore for several days, but at least i should escape the worst of the winter cruddy maladies.

If you need one, now is the time. Though it doesn't guarantee total protection, it's still the best thing we have.

Today is:

Commemoration Day -- Tunisia

Day of Accord and Reconciliation -- Russia (formerly Great October Socialist Revolution Day, with the date determined by the Gregorian Calendar)

  1. Ah, yes, the flu shots. Had mine a few weeks ago, nagged Husband until he got one through work. (He'd pass otherwise.) I just wish I could convince the person giving the shot not to tell me, OH, I AM GIVING YOU THE SHOT, HERE IT GOES!!! I try and tell them to just do it, and I won't flinch. They tell me, I am gar-en-TEED to flinch, and get a lovely bruise as a result. Turds... >:(

But, if I don't get sick, or at least not AS sick, I guess it's worth it...

  2. I'm going to get my first flu shot sometime after I get my first bout of flu. Have no idea why I never catch it (knock wood).

I do sometimes get stomach flu (or perhaps food poisoning, one is never sure), but from what I understand the respiratory type vaccines are no help on that anyway.

Hope the arm feels better soon!

  3. Cat, it is worth it if it spares you the flu.

Crabby, i had flu as a teen once. Never again. Hope you never go through it, and thanks for the good vibes on the arm, it's a bit better now.
