Silly Sunday: Good Luck to the Newlyweds

Silly Sunday is hosted by Sandee, of Comedy Plus.

Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs.  The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process.

Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!
  1. Post a joke.
  2. Link Up with the URL to your joke in the Linky Tools Widget.
  3. Read my joke.
  4. Leave a comment to tell me how much you enjoyed my joke.
  5. Try and visit a few others participating in Silly Sunday.
  6. Go to Sandee's site, linked above, and get the Silly Sunday code for your blog, too!

We have received an invitation to a wedding, and wedding invitations always make me both hopeful for the couple and nostalgic for the time, it seems not so long ago, when people didn't take bets on how long marriages would last.  (Since this is a distant cousin, and i've never met the intended, i'm not speculating nor saying anyone is doing that in this instance, but i have heard of it.)

Boudreaux's wife Clothile an' Thibodeaux's wife Marie be talkin' recent about de upcomin' nuptials o' a couple dey both know.  Dey talk it over a while, an' den Clothile say, "Sure I do hope dey goin' be happy."

An' Marie look at Clothile an' ax, "Now din't you jes' say you t'ink both o' dem be a bit crazy?  What for you say dat an' den say you hope dey be happy?"

"Mais, it be better two crazy people marry an' stay dat way, dat way dey don' be messin' up two houses an' makin' two sane people miser'ble!"

Today is:
